Ms. Jennifer Borda graduated from FAU with a BA in Psychology. She has been working with adults and teens with special needs for seven years. She began her career as a group councilor for adults and teens with disabilities and dual diagnosis. She was promoted to case manager. As a case manager she worked with adults to connect to resources in the community and at home. Her responsibilities ranged from finding housing and doctors to employment and recreation. She then began working specifically with students with special needs as a teaching assistant while pursuing her teaching license and becoming a certified behavioral assistant, working in the classroom and one on one with students in the home. As a classroom teacher Ms. Borda is committed to individualized instruction for each student. She utilizes positive reinforcement to encourage her students to grow and learn in a healthy, productive environment. "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
